Twenty five PAC swimmers, one former
swimmer (Robert Ellertson- pictured here) and one brave PAC coach
(Laurie) gave outstanding performances this past weekend at the
Swimmers of Note Concert to raise $2300 for the Ellertson Family
Scholarship Fund. Joining our PAC performers were six gifted
musicians of the Oregon Symphony. Bravo to all our talented
musicians.
All proceeds from this event go directly into
PAC’s scholarship fund to assist families with children who
love swimming, but would not be able to swim because of financial
hardship.
Many, many thanks to all those that made the
Swimmers of Note Concert an overwhelming success:
To the cookie bakers whose tasty treats kept us
munching during intermission.
To the senior swimmers who volunteered their
Saturday afternoon as ticket takers, stage hands, food servers, and
general ‘go’fers.
To our young swimmers who proudly handed out
programs.
To every one lucky enough to be in the audience
to witness how great our PAC swimmers are.
Special thanks to Julie Solomon, Allison Baird
Ellen Emerson, and Tom Emerson whose talents may not have shined on
stage, but shone brightly none the less in what they did. There
would not have been a concert with out their talent, time or
effort.
And a standing ovation to Susan Smith and Don
Hermanns, our music directors, accompanists, and most talented
musicians. We truly could not have done this without their generous
donation of time and talent.
